Floyd is a (relatively) minor Cosmic Entity who heads an extremely large pantheon of gods known as the Melodic Pantheon, who collectively control about 15,000+ universes. He has the capability of creating and destroying entire galaxies the size of the Small Magellanic Cloud with only a minor amount of effort.

Floyd is a benevolent god, who cares for the civilizations and nations who worship him in much the same manner that a mother cares for her children. However he is not soft by any means, and is quick to put down any hostile civilization that attempts to destroy him, any member of the Melodic Pantheon, or any civilization that worships him.

History[]

In the year 2750 AD, a baseline human named Kevin Nuson was born on Earth. By this point in time, humans had already thoroughly explored and colonized their solar system, and were also just establishing the first interstellar colonies. This period was the absolute height for humankind, the era of history which experienced the most rapid and drastic rate of advancement in civilization and technology. Kevin was lucky (or unlucky) enough to have been born right in this point of history.

However, tensions were brewing between the nations of earth. The primary conflict concerned the use of all this new technology, and primarily the ethics thereof. Many factions wished to use this technology to accomplish various goals. There were those who wanted to use it for warfare, those who wanted to use it for peace, those who wanted to use it making a cleaner environment and those who wanted to capitalise on it; and so on and so forth.

Kevin tried to push worries about politics out of his head. He was more concerned with his own life and what to do with his future, and for a time he waited for someone or something to show him the way. But it was then that Kevin realized that he would have to carve out his own path in life, as he went on to become a quantum physicist, a field of work in which he greatly excelled. Kevin was the kevinest Kevin who ever lived. In layman's terms, a lot of people liked, respected and admired him. While doing his work, Kevin would often have music by a very ancient band known as Pink Floyd cranked up in the background. For some reason, the music seemed to resonate with Kevin, and it took away the moments that made up a dull day. Kevin eventually established himself in a laboratory based on the Dark side of the Moon. When asking why it was located here, his superiors told him that it provided better stealth and kept the activities secret from enemy governments. It was clear to Kevin now that he would be taking part in more controversial and secret experiments.

Kevin never made time to start a family or even make much friends either. Every year was getting shorter, and he never seemed to find the time. At this point, he started worrying that he may have wasted his life.

The Rise of Floyd[]

One day, Kevin's colleagues arrived to the lunar base with a mysterious object they had discovered. It was a small, crystalline pyramid-shaped structure.

The pyramid object

The strangest quality about this small artifact, was that there was a small series of cosmos within it, like a miniature universe.

Kevin, and a few other scientists, were tasked with experimenting on the pyramid and learning its properties. During experimentation, it was discovered that the pyramid seemed to resonate with sound. When specific notes were directed at the object, it seemed to reflect it outwards in various ways. Additionally, the object could focus light beams and fire out beams as intense laser rays.

Before any further information could be gathered, the pyramid started acting up. It was as if something Kevin did had awakened something within it. Suddenly, it hovered in the air, glowing, before flying into Kevin's face. The last thing Kevin heard was a faint voice saying "just a little pinprick" before a vibrant explosion of colors erupted in his eyes and everything went black.

When he came to, Kevin was in the lab's infirmary. He found that there was no pain he was receiving, and the spot where he was struck by the pyramid did not hurt at all. His whole body was numb - comfortably numb, in fact. Nobody else was there in the room besides himself, and so Kevin was shocked to hear a voice say to nod if he could hear it. There was inside his head but it wasn't him. He was startled, but not wanting to reply out loud and arouse suspicion, Kevin slowly nodded in response. Kevin was worried that a lunatic was in his head. Had he sustained brain damage from that accident? The voice than asked if Kevin could stand up. Slowly, Kevin sat up and got out of the bed, shakily rising to his feet. The voice began to say something else, but Kevin cut it off. He needed some information first - just the basic facts.

The voice then introduced itself as "Pyramus" to Kevin, and revealed that it was in fact the very same pyramid that had collided with Kevin. What was furthermore, was that the pyramid had symbiotically merged with his brain and mind. Kevin was incredibly shocked to discover this, but did not reveal this to any of the other scientists (who believed that the pyramid was destroyed in the accident).

From this point forward, Pyramus remained as Kevin's "conscience", his own personal Jimminiy Cricket. With the pyramid in his head, Floyd could "see" the world in ways no other being could have. Everything was viewed with a cleaner, broader lense, and connections were made where many others would have easily missed them. Kevin knew that this ability would be very beneficial to society and the world, if used correctly. It was here that Kevin realized that, at the core of everything, the Universe was nothing but pure sound, vibration. The smallest pieces of physical matter were formed from condensed sound frequencies, melodic vibrations that bounced off of one another. If Kevin could tune himself to the tone of this universal symphony, he could achieve divinity. And so that was what he sought to do.

Using wide array of futuristic technologies readily available to him, Kevin augmented himself over the course of hundreds of years, eventually becoming a T4B on the Cosmic Entity scale by 3200 CE.

By this point, Kevin was seen as the hero of Earth, a man who could solve many of the world's problems with his powers. But there then came a time where there was one problem that could not be solved so easily...

The Schism[]

One day, one of the earth's governments unveiled a secret weapon which was capable of ammasing entire armies of individuals by mentally influencing them to do so. This technology was aptly dubbed "Thought Control", and with it billions of people hecame soldiers who served in this army. And thus, WWVI occured.

Kevin's native country of course looked to him for aid, but their unethical use of Thought Control did not sit well with him, and so he defected from their army to try to find another way to end this global civil war.

The war became so destructive, that Kevin finally resorted to using his most drastic measure. In his years of study, meditation and research, a powerful secret was revealed to him. It was a single tone, known as The Note, and it was related to Earth's Schumann resonances. This frequency, if used in just the right way, was capable of shattering a planet.

And so, Kevin sounded The Note, and thus split the Earth clean in half, ending the war for everyone. Kevin knew that everyone, all sides involved in the war, would hate him and view him as a monster for what he had done. So he erased everyone's memory of him and his identity on on earth, before departing from the planet and fleeing. He was on the run now.

The Start of Melodism[]

Some time after this point, Kevin had discovered a relatively small following of worshipers who lived on the Jovian moon Ganymede and revered him as a god. Kevin, slightly amused by them, decided to go along with it and proceeded to invent a new religion he called Melodism. Melodism advocated for the worship of music, primarily that which was made by Pink Floyd, which apparently was the music that resonated with the frequency of the universe. Kevin claimed that the members of Pink Floyd had prophesied his arrival through hidden messages in their music, and that anyone could join him in enlightenment (e.g become a god/godess like him).

Over the course of the next few thousand years, Kevin (who now preferred to be called Floyd, as an ode to his favorite band and the Six Prophets who predicted him) not only continued to augment himself to tier T5A on the entity scale, but ascended from the universe and became multiversal level, enlightening the first few dozen members of the Melodic Pantheon to divinity as well.

Ever since, Floyd has gradually expanded his empire, making contact with countless civilizations in The Folded Cascade and enlightening them too. He is based in The Wall - but all in all, he sees himself as just another brick in it.

Abilities[]

Compared to an average human, Floyd is immensely powerful. He has the ability to instantly create entire solar systems with a single thought and can destroy them just as easily. He has knowledge about almost a quarter of every song that was ever composed in his local Multiverse, and he can manipulate space-time itself to a certain extent.
